How to Care for Sheepskin Slippers & Boots
Genuine sheepskin is a natural, hard-wearing material. With a little routine care your Oskava slippers and boots will stay soft, warm and good-looking for many seasons.
Everyday care
- Air them regularly. Let pairs breathe between wears to keep them fresh and dry.
- Keep them dry. If they get damp, air-dry at room temperature, away from radiators or direct heat, which can stiffen the leather.
- Brush the nap. A soft suede or sheepskin brush lifts the wool and restores a like-new look.
Cleaning marks & spills
- Spot-clean with a cloth dampened in cool water and a little wool-safe or mild detergent.
- Work gently in the direction of the wool — don't soak the sheepskin.
- Blot with a dry towel, reshape, and air-dry naturally.
- Once dry, brush the nap to refresh the texture.
What to avoid
- Machine washing or tumble drying, which can shrink and harden sheepskin.
- Direct heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight.
- Harsh solvents or bleach.
Each pair is made from natural sheepskin, so slight variations in shade and texture are normal and part of the material's character.
