Answers to the questions we hear most about Oskava genuine sheepskin slippers and boots — shipping, duties, sizing, returns and care.
Are Oskava slippers made from real sheepskin?
Yes. Every pair is made from 100% genuine South African Merino sheepskin — real natural wool and skin, not synthetic fleece. Each pair is hand-cut and stitched at our Cape Town workshop.
How much is shipping?
Economy shipping is free to every country we deliver to, on every order, with tracking. At checkout some destinations, including the UK, Europe and Canada, can also choose a paid Express option.
How long does delivery take?
Each order is prepared at our Cape Town workshop within 3–5 business days. Economy delivery then takes 10–14 business days; Express, where offered, takes 4–6 business days. You receive a tracking number as soon as your pair ships.
Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?
Every order ships from our workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. We deliver to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Israel. If your country is not offered at checkout, we do not ship there yet.
Will I pay import duties or taxes?
No. Any import duties and taxes for your country are calculated and included in your total at checkout, so there is nothing extra to pay when the parcel arrives. Your checkout total is the final price.
How do I choose the right size?
Every size is shown as UK / US / EU on the product page, for example UK 7 / US 8 / EU 41. Our sizes are unisex UK sizes; the US size shown is the US men's size. Men: order your usual size. Women: take your usual US women's size and subtract 1½ — a US women's 9 is our UK 6 / US 7 / EU 40 for a snug fit or UK 7 / US 8 / EU 41 for a roomier fit. Sheepskin moulds to your foot over the first few wears. Our sizing guide has the full chart with foot lengths in centimetres.
What is your returns policy?
You can return unworn items in their original packaging within 15 days of delivery. Email us first at contact@oskavaslippers.com and we will send return instructions. Returns of non-defective items or for a wrong size carry a US$12.99 restocking fee, and return shipping is paid by the customer. Defective or damaged items are replaced free of charge.
Can I exchange for a different size?
We replace items only if they arrive defective or damaged. For a size change, return the pair under the 15-day returns policy and place a new order for the size you need — checking the sizing guide first avoids the restocking fee.
Are they warm but breathable?
Yes. Natural sheepskin insulates to keep feet warm while wicking moisture and letting air circulate, so feet stay warm without overheating.
Can I wear them outdoors?
Our slippers, booties and boots have a durable rubber sole, so they are comfortable indoors and fine for quick trips outside. Soft-sole versions are for indoor use.
How do I clean and care for them?
Air them regularly, keep them dry, and spot-clean with a damp cloth and a little wool-safe detergent — then reshape and air-dry away from direct heat. Avoid machine washing. See our care guide for details.
Will every pair look exactly the same?
Because each pair is crafted from natural sheepskin, slight differences in shade, marking and texture are normal — every pair is genuinely one of a kind.
